NJ MiniGP 3-Day School & Camp
Check-in begins at 8:30 AM on Friday morning at the MiniGP tent. Campers should plan to arrive no later than 8:30 AM on Friday and stay through the conclusion of riding on Sunday.
A place riders trust to build real skills, real confidence, and a foundation that lasts far beyond the weekend.
Every part of MiniGP Camp is built around thoughtful progression, individual attention, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. Our approach is rooted in experience and patience, with an understanding that real development takes time. Nothing here is rushed — riders are guided carefully, deliberately, and with respect for their individual journey. The focus is always on long-term growth, not quick results or shortcuts, shaped by years of experience and refined through
countless riders who have come through the program.
What is MiniGP Camp really about?
MiniGP Camp is about taking a rider exactly where they are — and carefully sculpting them into a stronger, smarter, more confident motorcycle rider.
This program is open to all ages starting at 5 years old and up. Kids, teens, adults, and seniors are all welcome. Riders of any skill level are encouraged to attend — from first-time riders, to street riders, trackday riders, and experienced racers. Riders are grouped by age and experience, ensuring a safe, supportive environment where everyone can learn comfortably and progress at the right pace.
Over three days, we don’t just explain what to do on a motorcycle — we work with riders to understand why the bike behaves the way it does. Throttle control, braking, body position, vision, balance, and decision-making are broken down and rebuilt with intention. Every rider is coached as an individual, with attention paid to their goals, comfort level, and learning style.
Instruction happens throughout the day and across multiple settings:
-
Classroom discussions that make complex concepts clear and approachable
-
Paddock-based drills that create real “aha” moments
-
On-track riding sessions with personalized coaching and feedback
All learning takes place on small-displacement motorcycles, removing distractions like excessive speed and horsepower and allowing riders to safely explore limits, make mistakes, feel cause and effect, and measure real improvement. Campers also have access to the MiniGP rental fleet, giving them the opportunity to find the motorcycle that best fits their size, experience, and riding style.
MiniGP Camp is built on proven results. Many riders who have come through our program and camps have gone on to compete at the professional level — and some return to teach, coach, and ride alongside the next generation. You’re learning from people who have stood exactly where you are and understand what it takes to progress.
The first two days of camp follow a full schedule of structured instruction and riding. Friday and Saturday evenings shift into a more relaxed atmosphere, with dinner provided at the Finish Line Pub at New Jersey Motorsports Park, located poolside — a chance to unwind, connect, and reflect on the day’s riding.
The third day of camp is a Rider Development / Open Practice Day, and it is included automatically for all campers. Campers do not need to register separately for this day. This final day allows riders to apply everything they’ve learned, receive continued coaching, and leave with a clear sense of confidence and progress.
Non-camp attendees are welcome to participate in this day but must register separately.
Some riders choose to purchase a MiniGP annual membership ahead of time. Membership is optional, but at $225 for the year, many find it worthwhile, especially since member discounts are applied at each event. Camp often ends up being the start of a longer journey with MiniGP, and for those who plan to come back, having a membership in place can make things simpler moving forward.
What you’ll leave with
What you take away from MiniGP Camp is shaped by how you approach the experience.
Riders who arrive curious, open to learning, and ready to engage in the process tend to see the greatest growth. This camp is designed to support riders who ask questions, try new things, and give their best effort over the course of the three days.
Riders who invest themselves in the experience can expect to leave with:
-
A deeper understanding of how and why a motorcycle behaves the way it does
-
Increased confidence built on technique and control
-
Clear direction on what to focus on next in their riding
-
A stronger connection between rider input and bike response
-
A mindset centered on steady progress and continued improvement
MiniGP Camp doesn’t offer shortcuts. It offers a process — and for riders who commit to that process, the results are meaningful and lasting.
MiniGP Camp isn’t about lap times or trophies. It’s about developing riders the right way — deliberately, thoughtfully, and with respect for the craft of motorcycling. No matter your age or experience, if you want to truly understand your motorcycle and become the best rider you can be, this is where that foundation is built.
Arrival & Weather Information
Check-in begins at 8:30 AM on Friday morning at the MiniGP tent. Campers should plan to arrive no later than 8:30 AM on Friday and stay through the conclusion of riding on Sunday. Campers should plan to arrive on time so the day can start smoothly for everyone. We will meet in the classroom at 10:00 AM to begin the camp program.
MiniGP Camp is a rain or shine event. Rain is part of motorcycling, and the same fundamental skills apply whether the track is dry or wet. Many campers have shared that they actually enjoy rain camps even more, as it provides a unique opportunity to build confidence, feel changes in grip, and deepen their understanding of motorcycle control. Please don’t let the forecast discourage you from attending.
